- Saw a list of about a dozen key House races and saw I'd postcarded for three of them.

- Made up my election cheat sheet for watching the returns with my brother and sister-in-law, with the various California propositions (since I never remember which is which) and all the races I sent postcards for, noting the districts the folks are running in.

Took today off from work . Priority 1? Voting early! We usually stand in line on Election Day, but since 4 years ago we stood in line for 90 minutes, we decided to go early . There was a line, but it only took about 20 minutes. The mood was happy, especially if someone was a very-first-time voter, when there was cheering! When we left the library after book hunting, the line was longer.

Be sure to vote all the way down ballot!
